Poem: I chose to write a poem that is supposed to be Romney Wordsworth's last poem he ever wrote. I thought to myself if he was a librarian then maybe he enjoyed poetry too and wrote some as well. The poem is the thoughts and feelings that Wordsworth is experiencing. I think it really shows his determination to prove the state wrong.
Collage: The collage I did is pictures of scenes throughout the episode. I tried to make it so they are in order of how the episode unfolds. It starts in the upper left hand corner and snakes down starting to the right. I kind of wanted it to be a play by play of what happened.
News Article: I wanted to have some type of news report on events after the death of Romney Wordsworth. After watching the episode I wondered how the public of this dystopian world would react. I decided that it would make sense for all the other people like Wordsworth to revolt against the State. I also made it known that Wordsworth had a wife and son that had fled from the State and are wanted. I thought it added an interesting angle to the story.
Obituary: I thought an obituary done by the State would show how disrespectful they can be to people who are considered obsolete and liquidated. Being that the State wrote the obituary I made it talk about Wordsworth in a negative way. I figured the State would not allow a viewing or funeral for Romney Wordsworth to show they are in control. It also talks about Wordsworth's family and is basically a wanted sign that would be posted everywhere. Instead of a funeral the State would put on a celebration since Wordsworth is dead.
Letter: Many times people write letters to their loved ones when death is near. I decided that Wordsworth would have done such a thing for his family. In the letter he expresses that he hopes they are safe away from the State and that he loves them. Since in the episode he had a bible it made sense for him to believe in god. This is evident in his letter to his family.
